Gold! The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book

Oh this is such an easy theme, gold! And I love it so much, I love everything made of gold. Not only jewelry, but also clothing, shoes, accessories for home and garden, etc. So I could show you enough. But I’m also very curious about what you have to show us! Let’s take a look!

Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge and myself started this series after we had hosted The Bad Buy Book for a year. Now we are ready for a new challenge! Every 15th of the month we show our Good Buy or Good-Bye item. And we want you to join!

What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book about?

It is a collage of outfits! You can choose yourself whether you want to show a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye ( which is an item you are going to say good bye to). We will keep buying a Bad Buy from now and then, you know, it was so cheap, you were in a hurry and really wanted(needed) to buy something etc. But of course we also have those purchases that can make us so very happy. A piece of clothing that you have had for years and that you also wear a lot. Or something you bought on a holiday, and every time you wear it you get that holiday feeling back. Every month you can choose which item you want to send in. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide a theme for each month!

I found this gold statement necklace in the Walmart clearance bin for $1 about 7 or 8 years ago. One of my best good buys ever. I wear it frequently and always receive compliments on it. I still can’t believe I only paid one dollar for it!

Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style

Here is my good buy for Gold. It’s the same cardigan I sent to Shelbee but worn in a casual way. I bought this over 12 years ago, and usually wear it for the holidays. But I was inspired to see if I could style it for a casual day because of your prompt.

I said goodbye to this gold sweater a while ago. I just didn’t wear it as much as I would have liked to. And the gold wore off under the arms after a while.

Emma of Style Splash

I have a 2 for 1 with this outfit – gold boots and sweater! Both are good buys as they are comfortable and can be dressed up or down.

And here is my golden item

This real vintage top I bought a few years ago in such a cute second hand shop. I was looking for a golden top and this caught my eye straight away. It was exactly what I had in mind. How often does that occur right? This is a warm gold and I love it a lot. So it is a Good Buy. It also got lurex in it which was a bonus for me. Never wore it other then on green though. You can see that here.
