I have found another lovely skirt, a grey circle skirt with pockets! Nowadays I pay more and more attention to whether a skirt has pockets. Without pockets it suddenly feels very bare. Must be phase I am going through! Lol. And what colour looks better on a grey circle skirt than black! No, that is not true, because almost every color looks good with grey. I am a fan of grey with pink or white. Today with black, my favourite colour. Yeah yeah I know, black isn’t a colour. To me it is.
My new grey circle skirt
I wanted to wear this jumper, because I bought it sometime in the spring and haven’t worn it yet. So it is actually best to wear this jumper with a camisole underneath. But I find that so strange. Warm enough to wear a camisole underneath, but long sleeves? Just as strange as a sleeveless turtleneck… I don’t get that. But this openworked( is that the correct way to say it?) jumper is not super handy, you already understand, it keeps you stuck everywhere. Another sentence where I am thinking: is this correct English? But I imagine you get the picture right?
Under the grey circle skirt I wear leather boots that reach just below the knee. Such a beautiful quality. I am wearing a gun metal bracelet and a golden rose ring. And earrings that Gerben gave me for my birthday. The darling thought I had this colour in my closet…….yes 3 seasons ago love. Oh well, he’s doing his best. Lol. (I’m just teasing him a bit, he is not even reading this so…)
The circle skirt has been around for a long time
You will see the circle skirt a lot this season and I’m a big fan of it. Did you know that Christian Dior was the first designer of the circle skirt back in 1947? A circle skirt sits smoothly at the waist, flares out and forms a circle when you turn around in it. I always find these skirts very flattering, frivolous almost. Only the belt is a bit weird. It’s stuck on one side and goes in the wrong direction.
I always wear my belts from the left to the right. I know that that is the male version of how to wear a belt, but I’ve done that all my life like that. Other then that this grey circle skirt is perfect and will be worn a lot this season.

I love grey with black too (and yes I agree, black IS a colour lol) and I also love it with pink, and white. It’s one of those colours that I think suits a lot of people and I have a lot of it in my wardrobe.
I know what you mean about the sweater – I avoid buying them if they need camisoles underneath them. It really annoys me when they can’t be worn on their own! I also don’t like it when the fabric is easily caught on things like rings, etc! Having said all that, yours does look gorgeous on you though!

Oh yes indeed! Earrings, right. I can only wear the basic earrings which are small. But hey, it’s a cute jumper, lol.
Oh wow, Sharron Murphy, what a fabulous skirt! I love the shade of grey. The lavender earrings really look nice with it, too. Gerben did good even though you don’t have lavender in your closet anymore! And that sweater is gorgeous! I hear you about sleeveless turtlenecks though. And open toe booties baffle me as well. I liked them well enough when they were in style, but if it’s cold enough for boots, my toes are certainly too cold to be open! Gorgeous outfit, my friend! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Oh I actually love open toe booties. But that’s because I always miss wearing boots in summer. But I don’t wear them in the colder months. My feet are cold enough as it is!

Skirts with pockets are great~ When I wear pants for a long time, I will habitually put my hands into the pockets when wearing a skirt, and then I feel around and find out awkwardly that there are no pockets~

I have a grey skirt similar to that, Sharron Murphy! The older I get, the less I am willing to not have pockets on my skirts/dresses. I call it “no more BS” – we need pockets! I love circle skirts for their wonderful twirl. Change that belt to one that you like better – something more “Sharron Murphy” with a bit more toughness to it!
