Level up your makeup game
I’m really getting into makeup the past few weeks, I am leveling up my makeup game so to speak! Techniques and colours and how to apply a good basis. I never did that. When I graduated from high school, I was trained as a beautician. Then you had to model for two hours during the make-up lessons and we were learned to put on a layers of makeup on your face, you could use it to build a wall! That’s where I disapproved of a plastered face. In addition, I have very sensitive skin and most foundations give me a rash. But now I’m trying out all kinds of products from Mintenz, a Dutch brand.
Level up your makeup game

This is not a sponsored or paid post. I’m just really excited about this brand. Mintenz has all kinds of samples that you can try out first. And every day there are videos and lives on Facebook where you learn step by step how to do your makeup. My everyday makeup is really nothing worth to talk about and I thought it was time to pay a little more attention to it. I needed to level up my makeup game. So I asked for makeup advice online, ordered some testers, watched videos, asked questions and learned quite a bit. Now I just have to put it into practice.
I also switched to a different facial cream and serum. I used The Ordinary. And I was, and still am, really excited about the brand, but my skin, and I, are getting older and I notice that it needs more than The Ordinary can offer. So I now use Mintenz products for my face too. It’s my opinion that my facial looks needs to be updated every now and then as I get older.
The same goes for my whole appearance actually. Hair and clothing too. It’s not a must or so, it’s just that we get used to a certain routine and style. But a change of haircolour or cut, or different makeup techniques can do wonders. I would like to be the best version of myself. And also in makeup world techniques and ways to apply change a lot.
And what am I wearing

I wore this outfit for The Thrifty Six, without the cardigan. I liked it so much that I wore it again with the lovely cardigan. And just like I leveled up my makeup game, I did also with the look. Because I am wearing the skirt over a dress! Because that was the only pre loved frills item I had for the series and wore it before as a dress. One has to be creative right?
It didn’t even bother me that the silky skirt showed bumbs of the dress. A few golden accessories and leather boots that are very very old is all I needed. I have worn these boots a lot. Also bought them in white back then. And just like these cowboy boots and these fabulous ones, I did not wear them. Should have learned a lesson then, I don’t like white boots…..
