The Timeless Appeal of White Sneakers
Can I still wear white sneakers? Or is it to old fashioned? The tittle timeless appeal of white sneakers says enough right!
And here we are already in May! My goodness, why is it going so fast. Hole of the winter I am waiting impatiently for spring to arrive. And then it takes so long before it is getting a bit warmer! We still have very chilly days. No temperature to wear sandals and bare legs. No such weather to shop for summer clothing! But I already have so many beautiful pieces of clothing in the shopping carts here and there. Even something red, can you imagine?
Are white sneakers timeless?
Because it is still pretty cold here for the time of the year, today I’ll show you how I wear my beloved blue trousers. With a Vinted jumper that immediately goes into the trash after the shoot. Well, this was another bad buy. Hardly worn, they say, and then it’s pilled. I hate that so much. But I do like the colours of it with these trousers. But what shoes am I going to wear underneath?
I must honestly admit that I still think white sneakers have a timelsss appeal. That’s just my opinion. But isn’t it a bit old-fashioned already? Look, I’m all for wearing what you want. But I would like to keep a bit of a modern look. Even if only in my own eyes. So I also tried the blue Converse underneath, which are not actually Converse because I went for the cheap version…..I really try not to do that anymore because…..cheap is expensive.
White or blue sneakers, what looks best?
I feel a bit like a clown wearing these blue sneakers. That’s because of that white part near the toes. You probably didn’t even notice it and now you think, yes, a clown’s shoe. Btw, I hate clowns. Should have bought real Converse….. Anyway, this is not a outfit that I love. The jumper, apart from the pilling, feels also outdated. I really feel old in this look. So why wear it then?
Well it’s a good outfit for cycling. Dresses and skirts are not ideal for when I go cycling for hours. I keep on pulling the skirt down. I will wear these trousers with a striped or a band tee. That’s more to my liking. I do love, however the military style jacket with these trousers. Because the cut of the jacket is to the side, the flow with the trousers works very well. So, bye bye jumper, hello timeless white sneakers!
