How to style a classic dress with cowboy boots

A wrap dress is a real classic piece. Invented by the fabulous Diane von Furstenberg. And although this is a faux wrap dress, and not a DvF, I am in love with it. So a few years ago, for a friend’s wedding, I bought two dresses from a brand I didn’t know yet. Really great dresses, abnormal. Such a good fit and great quality. But I think everyone looks really great in dresses from this brand. Unfortunately, the store that sold this brand has gone bankrupt, but luckily I can still find that brand on Vinted. I found the dress I am wearing today there too. But I also have this beautiful classic dress from Vinted from the same brand. Another great purchase.

A classic dress with a modern twist

I think my white boots look great with this dress, finally found something that looks good with the boots. Told you before that I have no idea why I bought them. I am not a huge fan of cowboyboots and not a fan of white boots……shoot me. But at least they give this classic dress a modern twist.

I have, compared to skirts, very few dresses in my closet. So that has to change, right? Just say yes…. That’s why I already ordered a new dress by Zara and I keep on searching Vinted for more dresses of this brand. Because you said yes….. I just find it easier to wear skirts. But I used to have far more dresses in my closet then skirts. When I was still working we always had a lot of dresses in our collections. And I bought a lot back then! Nothing’s changed there….well, now I don’t have 50% discount, lol.

A blazer on a wrap dress

I am not always a fan of wearing a blazer on a dress. Often I think it looks to frumpy. I do love to wear my blazers on wide leg trousers. But on this dress I think it looks very good. It compliments the grey in the dress, and the lenght is just exactly right! Of course in combination with the white boots. Although I think that white sneakers will look good also with this classic dress and grey blazer. If I would wear sandals, or espadrilles, I think a denim jacket will look better.

For accessories I wear golden earrings, a golden bracelet with black and white beaded bracelets and a bright pink statement ring for some contrast. I am totally in ove with golden hoops at the moment. Well, I have always liked them a lot, but now these are all I am wearing. And they are super light too! Pretty happy with this classic dress! And to wear the white boots finally!
