Tulle skirt with asymmetrical top & Fancy Friday linkup
So three tulle skirts in a short time? I hadn’t worn the ones I already owned for a long time and now I have three new ones. You already saw two. A while ago I wrote a post about asymmetrical tops, which are a trend this summer. I posted a photo of a asymmetrical top and skirt that I liked and that I think was already in the shopping basket of Zara. After the post I ordered it anyway, it was still on sale too!
Tulle skirt two piece
I’ve never been fond of asymmetrical tops. But I always loved asymmetrical skirts. One shoulder tops has also never been my thing either. But last year I bought this top and actually I really liked it. Just like this two piece. I ordered it thinking I would return it. But when I tried it on I actually thought: that looks pretty good! That’s wild, isn’t it, that you don’t like something for years or that it just doesn’t look good on you. And then suddenly you think it’s beautiful and looks great!
The same goes for wearing lipstick, but that has more to do with getting older.(perhaps the same counts for clothing, the older we get the less we care about what other people think) Colours that used to look good on me, now look very cold or even make me look older. So I would always recommend taking a good look at the colours of your make-up about once every few years. But I am by no means a make-up expert.
What bra to wear under a asymmetrical top and tulle skirt
So this tulle skirt and top was on sale, € 15 each! And I really never like anything on sale. So I was very lucky with this set. Actually, you should wear a strapless bra under an asymmetrical top. I don’t have one and I don’t want one. I switched to bras without padding and without underwire. Stopped feeling irritated. Also something that comes with getting older, I think….
Wearing the tulle skirt and top with white accessories. White belt, white statement ring and white slides. And a lovely statement necklace with a dragonfly.
So at first I wore a bralette underneath which showed lace straps. I thought that wouldn’t be that bad….but it was. Then I went bra less, thought that I still could do that………yeah right…. So finally I wore a normal bra and tucked the one strap in my bra. Okay, yes, perhaps I should by a strapless one, yes I really do.
