Different textures in a monochrome black outfit
As you know, I really like to wear monochrome black outfits. Of course, that can get boring very quickly. Wearing different textures makes the outfit more interesting. At least that’s what people say. I never find a black outfit boring, but I can imagine that it is the case for others. But if you want to wear a monochrome black outfit, which actually applies to any monochrome outfit, try wearing different materials if you find it a bit too boring. Like I do today. But actually I’m arguing a bit, because the skirt isn’t black! It’s very, very dark green.
Wearing a lot of different textures
I also have a beautiful blazer in dark pine, which everyone thinks is black. I haven’t tried it on this skirt actually, now I am thinking about it as I write……Perhaps the two dark greens will lift each other up? Or perhaps I should wear a more sage green sweater on the skirt to make the skirt look more greener? I love sage green, such a English colour! But today I wanted to wear black with it. And a lot of different textures!
Embroidered corduroy skirt and lace top, wearing different textures
The skirt is a very thin corduroy with very small daisies embroidered on it. And pockets!! Yeah, need I say more! Perfect length too. The skirt was a collaboration for Instagram from Buykud, but I like it too much not to show it on the blog. I’m wearing a lace top on it, which will also be seen a lot this season collections. Actually every season isn’t it!
Suede boots and a leather belt. I am so in love with these ankle boots, I have said it before. I searched long for these ones and they weren’t cheap, but they are worth every penny! They are easy to walk on because the heel isn’t that high, and I think they look really cool.
But a lot of different textures in one outfit! To accentuate the green in the skirt, including the leaves of the daisies, I wear green flower earrings and a green/gold bracelet. I talked a few weeks ago about fillers for sagging earlubs. I asked at the clinic, but it was not for that. They do surgery to fix sagging earlubs though. Have to think about that…..I guess that would be very expensive. And they didn’t think I had very sagging earlubs. But I feel they are and I find it very ugly. I just miss my statement earrings!
