Grey circle skirt & Fancy Friday linkup

I have found another lovely skirt, a grey circle skirt with pockets! Nowadays I pay more and more attention to whether a skirt has pockets. Without pockets it suddenly feels very bare. Must be phase I am going through! Lol. And what colour looks better on a grey circle skirt than black! No, that is not true, because almost every color looks good with grey. I am a fan of grey with pink or white. Today with black, my favourite colour. Yeah yeah I know, black isn’t a colour. To me it is.

My new grey circle skirt

I wanted to wear this jumper, because I bought it sometime in the spring and haven’t worn it yet. So it is actually best to wear this jumper with a camisole underneath. But I find that so strange. Warm enough to wear a camisole underneath, but long sleeves? Just as strange as a sleeveless turtleneck… I don’t get that. But this openworked( is that the correct way to say it?) jumper is not super handy, you already understand, it keeps you stuck everywhere. Another sentence where I am thinking: is this correct English? But I imagine you get the picture right?

Under the grey circle skirt I wear leather boots that reach just below the knee. Such a beautiful quality. I am wearing a gun metal bracelet and a golden rose ring. And earrings that Gerben gave me for my birthday. The darling thought I had this colour in my closet…….yes 3 seasons ago love. Oh well, he’s doing his best. Lol. (I’m just teasing him a bit, he is not even reading this so…)

The circle skirt has been around for a long time

You will see the circle skirt a lot this season and I’m a big fan of it. Did you know that Christian Dior was the first designer of the circle skirt back in 1947? A circle skirt sits smoothly at the waist, flares out and forms a circle when you turn around in it. I always find these skirts very flattering, frivolous almost. Only the belt is a bit weird. It’s stuck on one side and goes in the wrong direction.

I always wear my belts from the left to the right. I know that that is the male version of how to wear a belt, but I’ve done that all my life like that. Other then that this grey circle skirt is perfect and will be worn a lot this season.
