Is gold only for jewelry, would you wear it?
I love everything that is golden. Well, probably not everything, but a lot. But is gold only for jewelry? Not for me! I’ve had gold sneakers and gold ankle boots. I have two golden tops. A golden skirt and a golden coat, no gold trousers by the way. And now I have this wonderfully warm golden jumper. I once saw it at Trinny’s in a story on Instagram and thought, yep, I want that one too! Instagram is still good for something after all.
Gold and black outfit, not only for jewelry
Something I also have loved all my life is patent leather. And look here, my new ankle boots. I once had a patent leather jacket, like a design of a denim jacket. Why did I ever give that one away! But what a beautiful combination black and gold is! So warm. I have always loved it, the combination. It’s chic, cool, elegant. I can’t remember when I switched from silver jewelry to gold. I think I must have been in my early 20’s. Because I think it looks rather tacky when you are to young, and I mean like a child young.
The first gold, that I bought, that was not jewelry were a pair of sneakers. I still see myself walking near Arundel castle, when a woman said: smashing shoes! Couldn’t be any happier as no one in my area liked them at that time. Bare in mind this is about 17 years ago.
Gold is not only for jewelry
Now you see, espacially around this time of the year, golden clothing everywhere. Mostly sequines. It’s super festive of course. I think that gold also looks fabulous with brown. Sadly these photos are way to dark. The sun was still shining on this day, but…..yeah, only in that little corner near the garage. And as it takes a lot of my energy to take photos, I don’t put them in the bin easily. This is real life after all too isn’t it, well my life then…
The skirt is actually a bit to cold for this season, but is a huge favourite. It’s the perfect black skirt, at least it was this year, lol. I wore it here summer style.
So, is gold only for jewelry, or have you got those cool golden trousers or perfect gold blouse? And do you think it is for festive season only, or all year round?
